Small Beginnings

Twelve years ago my wife and I were living what we thought was a comfortable life. We both had good jobs we enjoyed, we had two beautiful daughters ages ten and twelve, and we were building a lovely home in the country. Halfway through the construction of our new home we discovered the Lord had a surprise for us…another baby!

Through the years we’ve had fun telling people that our son was not our idea but was God’s idea! (Actually that’s true of all our children.)

Long story short, we felt led for my wife to stay home with him. Our income was cut in half, a new home half-way built, and we weren’t sure how we would afford it all.

Fast forward, twelve years later. The business my wife started while she stayed at home has put both girls through private college. Her business actually started when she made some angels using nuts from our property and some inexpensive material. They were a hit at a local craft show and launched her business. Obviously the idea God gave her was able to help us raise our children comfortably when we didn’t know how we would make ends meet.

Perhaps Blessings Unlimited® is God’s provision for you. I’m reminded of the verse in Zechariah when Zerubbabel had laid the first stone for the new temple: Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. Zechariah 4:10 NLT God has a way of taking our humble beginnings and turning them into blessings for many.
