Lord,
I touch my knees to carpet...
feeling the weight upon my shoulders.
I think of burdens.
I think of blessings.
And in both I whisper,
It is too much.
Then so softly I hardly notice at first
a new wind blows into my soul
and love drifts down
like the falling leaves outside.
My heart hears this reassurance...
It is too much, child,
but I am enough.
I am surrounded,
scooped up in unseen arms,
carried home to the
place where I truly belong.
And I cry tears of joy at the truth of it.
May it be so always, Lord,
that we remember
in every too much
there is always One who is enough.
Amen.
